Charles Schwab - Carl
At Mekanism, I was the lead writer and co-Creative Director on Charles Schwab, where I wrote about a dozen TV spots featuring "Carl," a stereotypically bad broker played by the hilarious Salvator Xuereb. For each of these we partnered with the amazing directing team of Joaquin Baca-Asay and Lalou Dammond, who added the right amount of style to these comedic spots, helping Schwab stand out from the typical financial ads you see on TV.
You only get a partnership this good a few times in your career, and I was very lucky to be a part of this multiple Effie-wining success story for Schwab, Mekanism, and everyone else involved.
